ADMISSION PROCEDURE
B.Tech.
As in the other NITs, NIT Meghalaya too attracts the cream of the students
passing out of schools to its B.Tech. programme. They are admitted
through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) set up by MoE, GoI
after being screened through JEE (Main) conducted by Central Board of
Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi.
M.Tech.
Admissions into the M.Tech. programmes are on the basis of the rank
obtained in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) and
through The Centralized Counseling for M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan (CCMT).
M.Sc.
Admissions into the M.Sc. programmes are through the Joint Admission
Test for M.Sc. (JAM) and through the Centralized Counseling for M.Sc.
/M.Sc. (Tech) (CCMN).
Ph.D
Through written test and interview conducted by the Institute and the
decision of the Research Committee (RC) of the Institute.
