LANGUAGE LABORATORY
The Institute is equipped with a state-of-the-art Language Laboratory to train the students
in communication skills. The campus language lab is a centre for language study,

conversation and interaction among those interested in improvising their oral

communication skills. It has a large variety of programs on pronunciation guidelines,
phonetics, linguistic rhythm, intonation, grammar, conversation skills etc. The facility
provides access to installed and portable equipment used with audio, video and multimedia
language learning tools.

DESIGN INNOVATION CENTRE

Design Innovation Center is conceptualized to promote, nurture and advance the culture of
design innovation in the country leading to significant contributions and breakthroughs
impacting quality of human life. Design-focused innovation & creativity, culture of
innovation & creative problem solving, knowledge sharing and collaboration among stake
holders. Classroom projects to market/people, Academia-industry interaction & Academia-

social interaction. Culture of innovation and creative problem solving, knowledge sharing

CENTRE FOR TECHNOLOGY ENABLED LEARNING
A state-of-the-art studio has been set up in the centre where facilities for both content

creation and content distribution are being provided. Faculty members of the Institute as
well eminent experts from other institutions and organizations are being approached to

develop technically high-quality video contents, which will be made available to the
students through on-line streaming technology. Through this studio, faculty members of
NIT Meghalaya and also neighboring Institutes can participate in developing contents and
directly assist in national initiatives like NPTEL and SWAYAM.

CENTER FOR INTERNATIONAL RELATION

This Centre aims to support and promote international education and research as NIT
Meghalaya. The Center encourages students of NIT Meghalaya for exchange program
through foreign visit and foreign internship. The centre encourages students of NIT

admission of foreign students in various programs at NIT Meghalaya through Study in

India, ICCR, DASA etc.

CENTRE ROBOTICS AND MECHATRONICS

The aim of the Centre is to bring researchs from various field of engineering to enhance and
enrich the collaborative research, which can be directly useful to the Industrial automation
with the help of cutting edge technology. The centre has developed state of the art facilities
for supporting student projects and advance research activities. The Centre has already
organized three workshops along with hand on practice to disseminate knowledge among
the upcoming research community.
