Motivated and eligible candidates are invited for a walk-in interview for the position of the Junior Research Fellow (leads to PhD) for the project entitled "Phonetic and Prosodic Analysis of Khasi Language" under SERB, Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India.The project involves preparation of Khasi language database, finding of phonetic features from Khasi speech utterances and classification of phonemes, development of algorithms for finding of prosodic information such as pitch, loudness, duration, and timbre with the acoustical correlates fundamental frequency, energy, length of phone, and spectral characteristics.
