This is for information of all concerned that based on the performance in the Written Test for the posts of Technical Assistant (Dept. of Civil Engg.) and Technician (Computer Centre & Department of Computer Science) which were conducted on 22.07.2023 at NIT Meghalaya and with the approval of the Competent Authority, the lists of candidates shortlisted to appear for the Skill/ Trade Tests are available in the links below. NOTIFICATION

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATES

  1. The Skill/ Trade Test will be held on the 26th July, 2023 in the concerned Department/ Centre, NIT Meghalaya, Bijni Complex, Laitumkhrah, Shillong 793003.
  2. The candidates must first report at the Administrative Block, NIT Meghalaya, Bijni Complex, Laitumkhrah, Shillong 793003 at 09:30 AM for verification of their documents.
  3. After document verification, the candidates shall proceed to the concerned Departments/ Centres for the Skill/ Trade Test.
  4. The Tests shall tentatively commence from 10:30 AM onwards.
  5. You are required to bring with you, the following documents for verification/ submission:
    • All certificates /proof of date of birth/caste certificate/experience certificate, etc. and mark-sheets, in original, commencing from High School (i.e., class 10th).
    • Proof that you belong to Schedule Caste (SC), Schedule Tribe (ST) and OBC category, if claimed by you; OBC candidates shortlisted for Skill/ Trade Test must produce the latest OBC certificate which should not be older than 6 months from the date of the advertisement. Candidates failing to produce the certificate as instructed will be summarily rejected and will not be allowed to appear for the Test.
    • If you are in service with any Government Organisation/ Autonomous Bodies/ Corporation/ Statutory Bodies, etc, “No Objection Certificate” (NOC), from your present employer (or a copy of the forwarding letter in case your application was duly forwarded through proper channel) is required. Document in support/proof of experience and salary drawn.
    • Candidates not producing the original certificates or providing false certificates shall not be permitted for the Skill/ Trade Test.
  6. Please note that your candidature is purely provisional and subject to a verification check of your credentials from your original records which will include the Institute confirming that you meet the essential scrutiny conditions of age, qualification, and minimum experience, etc., as prescribed in the advertisement.
  7. Being shortlisted for appearing in Skill/ Trade Test does not entitle the candidate to be considered for appearing in the recruitment process unless he/she fulfils the minimum scrutiny conditions. APPLICANTS MUST FULLY SATISFY THEMSELVES ABOUT THEIR ELIGIBILITY AS PRESCRIBED IN THE ADVERTISEMENT BEFORE APPEARING IN THE SKILL/ TRADE TEST. If an applicant is inadvertently allowed to appear for the Test who otherwise does not fulfil the minimum scrutiny requirements, he/she cannot, at a later date, use that as a right to claim that he/she meets the requirements.
  8. The Institute reserves the right not to allow a candidate to appear for the Test if it is found that:

    (a)       Minimum requirements are not fulfilled.
    (b)       False documentation has been presented.
    (c)       Any other similar valid reasons.

  9. No request for any change in date/time of reporting for the Test will be entertained.
  10. No TA/DA is admissible for attending the Test. Candidates will also have to make their own arrangements for lodging and food.
