National Institute of Technology Meghalaya is offering Summer Internship Program for the session May-July, 2019. The main objective of this programme is to encourage the bright and well-motivated students of different institutions to pursue an innovative research and development project work under the guidance of faculty members of NIT Meghalaya. Applications are invited from pre-final year B.Tech., M.Tech. and M.Sc. students of various Institutions across the country for this programme. The internship is available in the following departments: Electronics & Communication Engineering (EC), Computer Science & Engineering (CS), Civil Engineering (CE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Electrical Engineering (EE), Physics (PH), Chemistry (CY), Mathematics (MA) and Humanities and Social Sciences (HS).

Eligibility
Duration:
The internship shall be for a period of minimum 6 weeks and maximum 8 weeks between 20th May and 12th July, 2019.
How to Apply:
Interested students have to submit online application form for the summer internship program at NIT Meghalaya. The online application form can be submitted from 10th to 25th April 2019.

The hard copy of application form duly signed by their Head of Department/Institution must be sent to “Dr. Pradeep Kumar Rathore, Coordinator - Summer Internship 2019, Room No. F–5, Administration Block, NIT Meghalaya, Bijni Complex, Laitumkhrah, Shillong-793003, Meghalaya, India” so that it reaches the addressee by 6th May 2019. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered for further processing.
Selection Process:
Selection of applications will be based on the recommendations of selection committee of the respective departments at NIT Meghalaya. Moreover, NIT Meghalaya reserves the right to accept or reject an application without assigning any reason thereof. List of shortlisted candidates and concerned supervisors will be published in the institute website by 10th May 2019. No postal communication will be made in this regard.
Caution Money:
Selected candidates have to deposit Rs. 2500/- as a caution money which is refundable only after the successful completion of the internship. Details of payment process will be uploaded with list of shortlisted candidates in institute website.
Accommodation and Mess Charges:
Shared accommodation will be available in student’s hostel on payment basis. Maintenance charge of Rs. 1000/- will be charged for those candidates who shall be opting for hostel accommodation. The amount will be deducted from the caution money. Also, the candidates shall have to bear their mess expenses at the rate of Rs. 100 per day during the internship period at NIT Meghalaya. The candidates have to pay the mess charges in advance on the day of joining the internship program at NIT Meghalaya.
