Online Reporting and Document Verification for B. Tech Students

(Allotted through JoSAA Rd.1-6)

Only those students who have been allotted seats at NIT Meghalaya, upon paying the Partial Admission Fee at JoSAA, may proceed for Online Admission.

Candidates are advised to read all the instructions carefully and make the Institute Balance Fee payment.

Procedure for online Reporting and Document verification:

  1. Instructions to the newly admitted Students
    • Online Reporting and Document verification by the Institute starts from 16th – 21st Nov, 2020 from 10 AM-5 PM
    • Allotted candidates have to virtually report to the Institute by filing the Google Admission Form via link, https://forms.gle/m4aY4KoYaKL7nWwTA
    • While filling the Google Admission form, candidates should be ready with all the scanned copy of original documents, payment receipts etc. for uploading.
    • Allotted candidates must also email all the forms and required documents specified under the Documents’ checklist in a single zip and email to ug.admission2020@nitm.ac.in. Mention the subject of your mail as “B.Tech Admission documents of > <Department applied>”.

      Eg. B.Tech Admission documents of Ravi Sharma (ECE)

    • Admitted students upon physically joining the Institute should submit the self-attested photocopies of all the certificates and documents to the Academic Office, Deans Block.
    • Provisionally admitted PwD students should undergo medical examination for final confirmation of seats upon physically joining the Institute.
    • Hostel Fees is mandatory for all new admissions. Local students, who are not willing to stay in the hostel, may give application in proper format to the Chief Warden on joining the Institute once the pandemic situation eases out. If the application is approved, the student can claim for the refund of the excess amount paid as hosteller.
    To complete the online reporting you must:
    • Download the required forms from Section 3, fill, sign and scan for upload.
    • Make the required balance fee payment.
    • Rename all the scanned copies as per the document checklist. (Eg. Ravi Sharma-10th marksheet).
    • Fill the Google Admission form and upload all the required documents.
    • Email all the documents in a zip folder to ug.admission2020@nitm.ac.in

    • Payment Process using State Bank Collect (SB Collect)
      1. Click on “Make Payment using SB Collect” under Payment Link.
      2. A DISCLAIMER CLAUSE page will open. Check the box for I have read and accepted the terms and conditions stated above and click on the PROCEED button.
      3. From the drop down menu, State of Corporate/Institution, select Meghalaya.
      4. From the drop down menu, Type of Corporate/Institution, select Educational Institutions. Click on the GO button.
      5. From the drop down menu, Educational Institutions Name, Select

      6. Click on the SUBMIT button.
      7. A page for details of payment will open. Under Select Payment Category, select

      8. Please read the complete page carefully before filling up.
      9. Please fill all the required details.
      10. A page to verify details and confirm this transaction will appear. Click on the CONFIRM button if your details are correct.
      11. You will be directed to payment page.
      12. Complete the payment process by selecting the mode of payment as per convenience.
      13. Take print out and save the PDF copy of payment receipt for submitting during online admission.
  3. Forms that need to be filled, signed and scan for online submission.
  4. Certificates and other documents to be uploaded/submitted during online reporting (To be renamed and arranged in the given order):
    • Admission Form to be filled and signed.
    • Soft copy of Passport size photograph.
    • Scanned copy of signature.
    • Document Checklist to be filled and signed.
    • JoSAA Document Verification Letter *
    • JoSAA Seat Acceptance Letter *
    • JoSAA Provisional Admission Letter *
    • Payment Receipts from JoSAA (for the amount paid to JoSAA). *
    • Balance Payment Receipt paid to NIT Meghalaya.
    • JEE Score Card. *
    • All Educational Mark sheets and Passed Certificates
    • Category Certificate. {For OBC NCL, Certificate issued must be latest}. *
    • For PwD candidates, the PwD certificate as per JoSAA format will be considered.
    • DOB Proof (preferably issued by Registrar of Births and Deaths).
    • The candidates shall fill their Anti Ragging Affidavits online as per the UGC guidelines through the portal “http://amanmovement.org/” or “https://www.antiragging.in/” and submit printout of the affidavits with the signature of the candidate and parents/ guardian to the office of the undersigned during the admission.
    • Hostel Application Form duly signed by student/parents/guardian.
    • Income Declaration.
    • BPL Certificate to be submitted during admission (if applicable).
    • Copies of Voters ID Card & Aadhar Card. *
    • Front page of SBI passbook of the student’s a/c.

* (Not required for International students).

Note: Online classes for 1st Semester B. Tech students are scheduled to start from 24th of Nov, 2020. More details will be uploaded shortly.
