Admission Reporting Procedures for Ph. D Programme
Under Sponsored (Part Time) Category, Autumn 2025
Online filling of form & upload of documents: 28th -30th July 2025
Physical Reporting at the Institute: 11th – 14thAugust 2025
Provisionally selected candidates who have confirmed their admission by paying the requisite fees are advised to read all the instructions carefully before proceeding for the admission reporting process scheduled as per the given dates. Prior to the physical reporting at the Institute, the candidates will have to mandatorily fill an online admission form which will be activated on 28-07-25.
Course work for Part Time students will be in self-guided mode.
1. Procedure for online filling of form and document upload:
a. Fill the online form and upload all necessary documents.[ Link ]
b. Arrange scanned copy of original documents (should be clear and legible) as mentioned in Step 3 for uploading.
2. Procedure for Physical Reporting
a.Report to the Institute on 11-08-2025 and proceed to Admission counter in the Lecture Hall Block for submission of documents.
b. Arrange photocopies of all certificates and documents as mentioned in the document checklist 3(a).
c. During the physical reporting, self-attested photocopies of all the documents as mentioned in the document checklist 3(a), should be submitted to the officials of the Institute of your concern department. Candidates will have to sign the reporting sheet after depositing all the documents. Pending documents if any, should be submitted latest by 30-09-25.
d. In case the result of qualifying degree is awaited, provisional admission will be permitted to an eligible student subject to all the academic grade sheets & degree certificates to be submitted by 30-09-25. For provisional admissions, Course Completion Certificate is compulsory if M.Tech/ME/M. Sc final semester grade sheet is not issued yet.
3. Documents Required for uploading during Admission Process (To be arranged in the given order):
a. Document checklist to be filled up and signed by candidate (Download here).
b. Admission Form (need to be filled, signed and scan for online submission).(Download here).
c. Proposed co-supervisor’s consent letter and CV.
d. Admission Payment Receipts.
e. Experience Certificate
f. Merit list copy-candidate's name to be highlighted.
g. All Educational Mark Sheets & certificates.
h. NOC (Download here) or Sponsorship letter (if your organization will sponsor all the financial aspects for pursuing the PhD programme in NIT Meghalaya) (Download here).
i. Caste Certificate {For OBC, Certificate issued must be latest}.
j. Employee Identity Card (both sides)
k. Income declaration form (Download here).
l. Proof of Date of Birth (Class X marksheet or admit card where DoB is mentioned).
m. Latest passport size photograph in white background (for Institute ID card)
n. Signature (for Institute ID card)
o. Aadhar Card & Voter’s ID
p. First page photocopy of your bank account.
q. Form IV-A(n),Ph.D Course Registration Form (Download here).

The Institute reserves the right to cancel the admission of a selected candidate in case of non-completion of the admission process, non-fulfilment of eligibility criteria or furnishing false documents, at any point of time, without further notice.
