Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the position of a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in an ANRF-funded research project (ANRF/ECRG/2024/003546/CS) with following details:

Essential qualifications

(i) M.Sc. in Chemistry or equivalent degree with at least 55% marks for General & OBC (50% for SC/ST candidates, Physically and Visually handicapped candidates).

(ii) GATE/NET qualification.

Age limit

30 years (relaxation as per norms and guidelines of the institute)

Emoluments

(i) Rs. 37,000/- per month for first two years

(ii) Rs. 42,000/- for the final year

(iii) Accommodation will be as per institute norms

 

(The fellowship is available for a maximum period of 3 years or until the end of the project.)

Benefits

The selected candidates are allowed to pursue a Ph.D. as per the Institute's norms.

Important Instructions:

  1. Candidates possessing the requisite qualification should apply in the attached format. The last date for application submission is 11th August 2025.
  2. Original documents of age proof/certificates/mark-sheets, and other testimonials must be presented at the time of joining. A set of photocopies of all the testimonials is required to be submitted during the joining.
  3. Mere possession of the minimum qualification does not guarantee an invitation to the interview. Candidates will be shortlisted based on merit and the needs of the project. The authority reserves the right to accept/reject any or all applications without assigning any reason thereof.
  4. The short-listed candidates for interview will be informed only by email. No TA/DA shall be paid to candidates for joining the position.
  5. The appointment is temporary, and the selected candidate can also apply for the regular Ph.D. program of NIT Meghalaya as per the institute's norms.
