Physical Reporting at the Institute: 13th – 14th Aug 2025

Provisionally selected candidates who have confirmed their admission by paying the requisite fees are advised to read all the instructions carefully before proceeding for the admission reporting process scheduled as per the given dates.

Classes for course work will commence from 18-08-2025. The class timetable may be checked from the Institute Website. Course work taken from PG level will start with PG students.

  1. Procedure for online filling of form and document upload:

  2. Arrange scanned copy of original documents (should be clear and legible) as mentioned in Step 3 for uploading.

3. Select "SB Collect" Link in home page of SBI Collect

a.     For paying the Institute Fee,

Search for NIT Meghalaya Fee Collection in the search box.

Select PHD NEW ADMISSION 2025 (SPOT ROUND) from the drop-down menu and fill the relevant details.

b.    For paying the Hostel Fee,

Search for NIT Meghalaya Hostel Account in the search box.

Select Hostel Fees (New Hosteller) from the drop-down menu and fill the relevant details.

c.     Print the payment receipt and save it for further reference and needful. If needed receipt can be downloaded again from payment history by entering DOB & Mobile no or DU number.

  1. Procedure for Physical Reporting
  1. Report to the Institute on 13-08-2025 and proceed to Admission counter in the Lecture Hall Block for submission of documents.
  2. Arrange photocopies of all certificates and documents as mentioned in the document checklist 3(a). (Please bring along the original documents)
  3. During the physical reporting, self-attested photocopies of all the documents as mentioned in the document checklist 3(a), should be submitted to the officials of the Institute of your concern department. Candidates will have to sign the reporting sheet after depositing all the documents. Pending documents if any, should be submitted latest by 30-09-25.
  4. In case the result of qualifying degree is awaited, provisional admission will be permitted to an eligible student subject to all the academic grade sheets & degree certificates to be submitted by 30-09-25. For provisional admissions, Course Completion Certificate is compulsory if M.Tech/ME/M. Sc final semester grade sheet is not issued yet.

  2. Admission Form (need to be filled, signed and scan for online submission). (Download here).
  3. Admission Payment Receipts (Institute and mess advance).
  4. Merit list copy-candidate's name to be highlighted.
  5. All Educational Mark Sheets & certificates.
  6. Valid Gate/NET Score Card if applicable (Expired GATE score card should not be uploaded).
  7. Caste Certificate {For OBC, Certificate issued must be latest}.
  8. As per the Hon. Supreme Court & UGC/MoE Regulations, all students should compulsorily fill in an Anti-Raging Undertaking each year. To make the process easy Ministry of Education (formerly MHRD) has developed an online facility. Undertaking should be filled ONLINE at: www.amanmovement.org (OR) www.antiragging.in and upload the acknowledgment mail copy during admission.
  9. Income declaration form (Download here).
  10. Proof of Date of Birth (Class X marksheet or admit card where DoB is mentioned).
  11. Disability (PH) certificate issued by the Competent Medical Authority in standard format (if applicable).
  12. Hostel Application Form duly signed by student/parents/guardian if applicable. (Download here).
  13. Latest  passport size photograph (for Institute ID card)
  14. Signature (for Institute ID card)
  15. Aadhar Card & Voter’s ID.
  16. BPL Certificate to be submitted during admission (if applicable).
  17. Form IV-A(n) Ph.D Course Registration Form (Download here). Fill only the courses mentioned here by consulting with concern HoD.
  18. Affidavit of Scholarship undertaking to be notarised by a public notary. (Download format).

The Institute reserves the right to cancel the admission of a selected candidate in case of non-completion of the admission process, non-fulfilment of eligibility criteria or furnishing false documents, at any point of time, without further notice.
