Professional Development Programme on “Structural Safety Audit”

The five days Professional Development Programme on “Structural Safety Audit,” organized by the Department of Civil Engineering under the aegis of the Centre for Integrated Structural Health Monitoring and Solutions, was successfully conducted from April 27 to May 1, 2026.

The programme brought together participants from academia and industry, offering a comprehensive blend of theoretical insights and hands-on training in critical areas such as rapid visual screening, non-destructive testing, structural health monitoring, vulnerability assessment, and seismic retrofitting.

Through expert lectures, practical demonstrations, and real-world case studies, the event effectively strengthened participants’ ability to evaluate and enhance the safety and resilience of existing infrastructure, particularly in challenging terrains. The programme concluded on a high note with a valedictory session, marking a significant milestone in advancing knowledge dissemination, capacity building, and outreach initiatives of the Centre.
